RELATIVE TO the population, few were able to look up and see Venus transit the sun between it and the earth yesterday, but in the video above you can. Worth watching as this happens about once in 105 years.
“If you can see the mole on Cindy Crawford’s face, you can see Venus,” Van Webster, a member of the Los Angeles Astronomical Society, told anyone who stopped by his telescope for a peek on Mount Hollywood. [Source]
Well, I was squinting, peering, hand over eyes yesterday, and Crawford’s mole is a lot easier to see. But not as fascinating.
So, unless you’re very young and will live to be very old, watch the video.
Amazing stuff; much grander than my feeble wrists made sore from hauling rock.
